Where we are

Reach the Observatory

The Astronomical Observatory is located in via Superiore al Gazzo, a pedestrian street that connects the Genova Costa di Sestri Ponente railway station to via Rollino.

It can be reached:
​
  • by train : getting off at the Genova Costa di Sestri Ponente station, on the Genoa - Acqui Terme line
  • by bus : with number 158 (stop in Piazza Consigliere) or with number 159 (stop in via Sedici Giugno)
  • by car : parking at the Genova Costa di Sestri Ponente station or in via Rollino along the edge of the road, before the start of the dirt road ( NOT IN THE SMALL SQUARE IN FRONT OF THE "CELI" RESTAURANT SINCE THEY OWN IT! ).

The Observatory offers a transport service to the facility ONLY for guests with limited mobility.
È raggiungibile:
​
  • in treno: scendendo alla stazione di Genova Costa di Sestri Ponente, sulla linea Genova - Acqui Terme
     
  • in autobus: col numero 158 (fermata in Piazza Consigliere) o col numero 159 (fermata in via sedici giugno)
     
  • in auto: parcheggiando presso la stazione di Genova Costa di Sestri Ponente o in via Rollino lungo il ciglio della strada, prima dell'inizio dello sterrato

    NOTA: NON PARCHEGGIARE NELLA PIAZZETTA DI FRONTE AL RISTORANTE "CELI" POICHE' DI LORO PROPRIETA'!.

Reach the Università Popolare

The Università Popolare Sestrese is located in the small square of the same name, located in Sestri Ponente, near Piazza Oriani, near the Verdi Theater.

It can be reached:
​
  • by train : getting off at the Genova Sestri Ponente Airport station, on the Genoa - Savona line, and continuing on foot in the direction of Piazza Baracca and Piazza Oriani.
  • by car : parking in Piazza Oriani ( REMEMBERING THAT THE AUTOMATIC PARKING CLOSES AT 8.30 PM ).

È raggiungibile:
​
  • in treno: scendendo alla stazione di Genova Sestri Ponente Aeroporto, sulla linea Genova - Savona, e proseguendo a piedi in direzione di Piazza Baracca e Piazza Oriani.
     
  • in auto: parcheggiando in Piazza Oriani

    NOTA: IL PARCHEGGIO AUTOMATICO CHIUDE ALLE ORE 20:30.
