Teaching activity
The volunteers organize specific events dedicated to schools of all levels, during which teaching is specifically tailored to the learning curve of the young guests. Depending on the age, the topic of astronomy is also proposed as a laboratory game.
You can choose between two packages:
Afternoon at the Observatory
on Thursdays from 12:00 to 15:30 .
It is offered to you:

Recreational space

Sun Laboratory, with observation from the terrace

Informational activity with projection in the Planetarium (Solar system, orientation, myths and constellations, structure of the Universe)

Visit to the Observatory and instruments, with a brief account of the history from construction to today and the use of historic and modern telescopes
Evening at the Observatory
on Monday evening from 9.00pm to 11.00pm (also extendable to parents)
It is offered:

Educational activity with projection in the Planetarium (The sky, the Constellations, the Solar System, the objects of Deep Space)

Naked eye observation from the terrace (orientation, myths and constellations)

Instrumental observation from the main dome (Moon and Planets)
If parents are also present, it is possible by prior agreement to divide the visitors into two groups, differentiating disclosure between adults and children.
It is possible to arrange several days of visits to the same class in case you want to delve deeper into the topics covered, as well as evaluate an educational offer tailored to particular or specific needs.
The Observatory is equipped with bathrooms (soon also for disabled people), and it is possible to use the internal or external spaces for picnic lunches/dinners
Costs
The Observatory is managed by a non-profit group of volunteers, and is maintained mainly thanks to donations received from guests
For activities with schools we ask for an indicative contribution of 3 euros for each participating child and parent , which you can leave in cash at the time of the visit.
